It's been a really long time since I've been active on here. I'm not dead, just super busy. I've recently wrapped on an independent movie called Atlanta Vampire Movie. I did the wardrobe, acted in one scene, and was a couple of props in another. That sounds really weird, being a prop. Basically I did some modeling to be featured as a calendar girl in the background in a scene as well as a cover model for a fake pin up model magazine. I might share a couple of pictures.
Besides being paper I've been working on some cool stuff with yarn. I have a lot of pictures to throw on here later. I've been working for a yarn shop as the sample knitter. I knit the stuff that's displayed in the shop to get you to buy the yarn. I've made a LOT of shawls and sweaters. All made out of awesome fiber. While working for the shop I picked up the ancient art of spinning yarn. Super fun! I'm considering selling some yarn that I've spun if I don't knit it first. lol
I have decided against selling at AWA this year. I need more time for me, less stress, and after how bad I did last year I simply can't justify swinging the trip with all the baggage that comes with it. I want to actually be able to use my ability to make things for myself, but I want to make things for other people too. If you are interested in purchasing something, then I'll always make the time to take a commission.
Last, but not least, I've spontaneously created a Facebook contest. I started making tails and I wanted to give one away as a prize. I came up with "help my shop reach 700 likes" since my page is kind of close to that amount. Honestly, I couldn't care less how many people like my shop on Facebook because I know that very few people actually get to see my posts. Here are the lazy rules I've come up with.
Really, "share this post" and "get others to like my page" are almost the same thing. Anyway, if you want a chance at that fox tail, these are the rules.

DRAGON*CON!!!!
This year I will not be selling at AWA. I will, however, be selling at mother fucking Dragon*Con! It's a much bigger con and I'll have a much bigger space to work with. With all of the work that I've been doing with Ruth (https://www.facebook.com/ruthnoredesigns?fref=ts), she was extremely kind to extend an offer to help her fill in the space. She upgraded from a 6x6 booth to a 10x10. Yamigetsu (https://www.deviantart.com/yamigetsu), Bri, and I have been diligently working to knit enough products to sell at the con. Since I wasn't planning on selling anything at a con this year I now have to fit an entire year's worth of knitting into less than 100 days. I'm so excited about this

Ruth Nore (https://www.facebook.com/ruthnoredesigns?fref=ts) for allowing me to use her photoshoot setup.
My boyfriend! Yamigetsu (https://www.deviantart.com/yamigetsu) and Bri Starr for helping me knit and giving me a lot of back rubs.

The Red Scarf Project
I don't know how many knitters or crocheters on DA participate in this, but it's something that I've been doing for the past 2 years now. Basically the Red Scarf Project is a charity for foster students in college. We - knitters and crocheters- use red yarn to create unisex scarves and send them to the organization who then ship these scarves off to different students who are putting themselves through college and don't have families to give them nice gifts for Valentine's Day. It's a nice gesture of goodwill towards people who might feel a little alone and need that small reminder that there are people out there who do care.
